This is a basic workshop where you can learn the creative art of making beaded jewelry with Karla Barron. Materials will be provided and loaner tools are available for use. A hereditary cancer risk assessment is the key to identifying patients and families who may be at increased risk of developing certain types of cancer.  This assessment should be performed by all health care providers on a routine basis.  Dr. Dorcas Chi, MD, UCLA oncologist, will focus on the understanding of hereditary breast ovarian cancer syndrome, as well as various hereditary GI cancer syndromes.

Reiki is a Japanese practice with a name meaning “universal life energy.” It is a stress reduction and relaxation technique. Reiki can also be used to encourage healing and provide other benefits. The energy that flows through the Reiki practitioner, Susan Locatell, will strengthen the body by releasing blocked energy pathways, thus decreasing pain and enhancing the body’s natural ability to heal.
