survivorshipSurvivorship Group
Fourth Monday of each month, 6:00pm - 7:30 pm.
Support group for survivors to address the lingering physical and emotional impact of the disease and long-term side effects of treatment.
One of our survivorship group members recently commented, “After the immediacy of cancer treatment, life is never the same, but the intensity settles into a ‘new normal’ that requires a different kind of support.  It's more of a marathon than a sprint, and a weekly patient support group can be too much to handle.  It's invaluable to have a safe place to talk about the continuing cancer journey; to help and be helped by others who are also going down that road.  I will be a cancer survivor for the rest of my life, and I hope I'll always have access to this invaluable resource.”

There is no comparison between the experience of going through cancer treatment alone and having the same experience in the supportive company of others. Exchange information and share concerns and feelings with others who are facing the same challenges. Increase your awareness of methods of maintaining control over what may seem like an uncontrollable situation.

friends and familyFamily & Friends Groups
Wednesday, 6:00 – 7:30 pm
Thursdays, 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Family & Friends groups include spouses, partners, parents, adult children, siblings, or close friends of someone with cancer. These groups focus on reducing stress through various skills, such as sharing ideas on supporting a loved one, the importance of self-care, and enhancing communication with loved ones. CSC recognizes that stress for family members can be as difficult as it is for the patient.
