Beverly’s Retirement Statement
beverly1After more than eight years as Executive Director at Cancer Support Community, I am preparing to retire later this year.  It has been an incredible experience for me to help lead this organization and to play a role in providing unique and important services to people who are facing cancer.   As a cancer survivor myself, I know how valuable CSC services are and that professional support services make a significant, positive difference in the lives of cancer patients and their loved ones.
While I look forward to retirement, it is also true that I am saddened to walk away from such a wonderful organization, a supportive and dedicated Board of Directors, a stellar team of staff members, and the hundreds of people who come through our doors each week.  During our lifetimes, I believe we strive to do something that is important, something that makes the world a little better place in which to live.  Cancer Support Community Pasadena certainly does that and it has been an honor for me to be a part of this organization.
My retirement plans include taking time to do the activities I enjoy but have neglected during my career, international travel and humanitarian service, and for my new passion, learning to hang-glide!
